Get Involved

Find an upcoming opportunity to get involved!

There are four ways to provide public comment:

  1. Attend a Stakeholder Meeting

The City will be hosting a series of meetings where interested members of the Tumwater Community will gather both in person and virtually to share your ideas, concerns, and questions about the tree codes and preservation in the City. Sign up for a meeting here.

  2. Attend a Tree Board, Planning Commission, or City Council Meeting

During 2022-2023, the Tree Board, Planning Commission, and City Council will meet to discuss tree code provisions as well as refine amendments to the municipal code. Community members are welcome to attend meetings and provide public comment. Please see guidelines for public comment on the City’s website. Go to the City Calendar or view the Project Timeline for upcoming meetings.

  3. Public Comment Portal

You can provide a public comment in advance via our public comment portal. Your feedback will be shared with the project team as they work to revise and refine the tree code.

  4. Email

You can also provide a public comment by sending an email to tumwatertrees@ci.tumwater.wa.us
